Description
This is a recent poster I designed for a bunch of cabaret artists who are going to this years Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
I have designed posters for them in the past: [link] and they came to me a few weeks ago to discuss publicity for their new show. They always give me free rein when it comes to design because they trust me - in this instance their simple brief was Pier Poster.
If you don't live in the UK, you may not know that there is a type of act that tours the country performing a specific type of comedy in theatres in seaside towns, usually at the end of a pier. It's a bit of a dying industry really and isn't very well respected sadly.
This is my take on the traditional seaside pier show poster. When I saw the quote they wanted to use on the publicity:
I decided to make the poster feel grubby like it had been left somewhere quite unsavoury...
Time: Two days
Medium: Photoshop

This must-see act is assured to leave you feeling emotional, entertained and possibly, rather filthy.
