Description
This may look like it should be in my Scraps, but this is actually a finished piece.
This is a portrait of Paul who was in a short feature length movie entitled Run Like Hell. I was brought onboard the film project as a stunt double of all things and I was also the sole member of the art department.
This particular piece was used in a section of the film where the hero (played by Paul), is sat drawing a self-portrait which is then defaced with a pint of beer by the bad guys - the director asked me to produce a pencil drawing of Paul which was supposed to be 'work-in-progress'.
The original drawing was not used in the scene with the beer.
Time: 4-5 hours
Medium: B and 3B pencils on standard A3 photocopy paper
Model: Paul

I like the unfinished drawings because frequently they say more than finished ones in particullar by the parts that one chose to omit.
And i draw on printer paper sometimes its great for sketching and does not make it cheap, i think what makes art cheap is it not being art but something ment to be pretty and crowd pleaser.
