Sewer - Concept Poster Art

As promised...

This one's a real mixed bag - it contains a mix of scans, traditional art, photography and Photoshop work to bring all the elements together. Most of the film poster artwork that I do is done in this way as a lot of the work I do for film companies is promotional material for films in pre-production: ie, there are no images to work from. After the film is made I then get to work with a bunch of stills to create the finished product.

I rather like this piece because the colour is so strong and the slime on the Title Treatment is pretty much created from scratch and it was pretty tricky to create something believably viscous - hence the reason why I have some pride in this piece.

I like the fact it's quite campy too. I love 'b' Movie horror and so when I get to work on something that is, it's a lot of fun.

Artwork like this for film companies can be tricky because you have to provide them with what they want, all the elements that they think will sell the film and try and fulfill your desire as an artist to create something you can stand by artistically.
