Is less more? Of course it is. Or can be. Depends on the artist's commitment. In this case NotTheRedBaron took 6 tubes and a canvas and made 'em his two turntables and a microphone and created a rich, dark, moody work of art with one suhweet perspective. Sean a.k.a. 'Chewie' by ~NotTheRedBaron

Description
This is a painting of my friend Sean which I submitted for the portrait award at the National Portrait Gallery in London.
In total I only used 6 different tubes of colour to create this painting.
Although it is essentially quite a moody portrait, the version here is a little darker than the original as I had to take the lightness down due to light reflecting off the surface. This image probably looks quite dark on a pc monitor but on a mac will look fairly similar to the original.
Time: 4-5 months
Medium: Acrylic on canvas
Model: Sean
Size: 60cm x 90cm
[I'm new to this so let me know if there is any other information you would like me to list]

Wow! One of the coolest thing I saw recently.
I hope this big 4-5 month job was worth it commercially?
